We just caught spy and we found out to things. First, Arnold Benedict is planning on surrender West Point and second, if he had`t given general Clinton all of George`s tactics we could of won a lot more battles. I hope he does`t get wind of this. if he does he won`t surrender weest point.

George told us to head south with Rochambeau to York Town to clear that position that the British has instead of New York because a french admiral by the name of Count De Grasse is going to attack New York with 3000 men instead of our 2000 men.

On November 30 we signed the treaty of Paris preliminary and on November 10 we had our final battle with the British and Indian groups. Although the french were a little unhappy about the treaty my uncle resolved them though.

We had been keeping track of were Clinton had been going for 4 months, but we had lost him until he reached Charleston were he has taken Fort Moultrie. George just sent us down here so we could try to take it back. We had been fighting for a month and the battle had slowed down. wee had lost a lot of men and we were about done. Then a bunch of guys got so mad that they decided to march right up to there general and demand to get paid because they had been waiting 5 moths for it. I feel sorry for them. this all happened about 17 day ago man that was a tough time.

My good friend George has established our headquarters in NewBurgh, New York. We have been rapping this up. just a little while ago the British prime minister Rockingham started peace negotiations with us. I do wonder were Lord North went though.

It  is November 2 now we are gathered to hear our fearless leader George Washington give his farewell address. we plan on getting back together to watch the last of the British troops leave on November 25. it has been 2 months now sense the signing of the Treaty of Paris we have made it through the war. It was not free though. Me and my wife lost our 2 oldest sons and our oldest daughter got shot in the arm taking care of the soldiers. I am not sure if she will make it. Our family has lost most of our friends and our family has shrunk. But we did not let them die in vein, WE WON THE WAR!!!!
